Who We Are
The Butler Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization created by the descendants of Sir. Milo Butler, the first Bahamian Governor General of The Bahamas and a well respected freedom fighter, celebrated for his work in advocating the cause of black Bahamians who were historically disenfranchised. He was also a successful businessman who supported fledgling entrepreneurs and partnered with others across race and party lines to create as many opportunities for Bahamians as possible. We are his descendants seeking to do good and serve the community while preserving the legacy of our worthy ancestor.

Preserving Legacy, Fostering Change
To preserve the legacy of the Butler Family which is steeped in deep political and economic achievements in our country which are rooted in strong familial values – Christ Centered Integrity; The Collective Will of Many over one; Education and Empowerment.
While Sir Milo Boughton Butler and Lady Caroline Butler are the most recognized symbols of our rich history – our legacy of political participation and economic development precedes them and we seek to understand the rich pillars that over generations has caused us to enjoy the benefits in this generation and beyond.
Our Vision

To seek to honor the legacy through the launch of a multi series podcast which educates and highlights the many successes and opportunities faced by the family over the many generations in politics, in familial relations and economically;
To seek to highlight the symbols of our legacy which includes the mausoleum of Sir Milo and Lady Caroline as well as the statue of Sir Milo now present in Rawson Square.
To invite G3 and G4 to get engaged in helping to preserve the legacy and navigate a collective vision for the future of the family while we highlight their many achievements within the family.
